Swamp Thing

I saw Nancy Pelosi on television yesterday with her renewed vow saying “The swamp still needs to be drained.” This was in reference to her quote in 2006 as follows:
“What we have to do is drain the swamp in Washington, D.C. Until we drain the swamp and bring integrity to the political process, we won’t be able to go forward.”
Am I the only one who sees the unbelievable irony in this?
